Director Michael Rapaport spoke with MTV on Q-Tip’s stance against the film.

“I think the reason he did his little Twitter thing was because when he realized that the movie was coming to completion and going to get seen by people,” Rapaport said. “I can’t really speak for him but I think he got a little nervous. He’s a very protective of the legacy of A Tribe Called Quest and the movie is a very honest depiction of my time with them and the information that I was given in interviews and content.”

Nas speaks on the status of Lost Tapes 2. He tells MTV that he has already started working on the project and wants to release it in conjunction with his next album.and mentions it may not be out on Def Jam.

The legendary soul singer Teena Marie has passed in her sleep.March 5, 1956- December 26,2010.According to Roland Martin, R&B singer Teena Marie has passed away at the age of 54. Martin cites Marie’s manager, Mike Gardner. Martin reports that Marie’s manager told him that Marie’s daughter found her dead in her home today, and that she suffered a seizure last month.
